Most people dread cold calls. Actually cold calls are very easily done if you have the right tools and the right people  to make the calls. A cold call is an introductory first impression point of contact. Cold calls are a lot easier than warm calls due to the fact that you are still trying to identify if you are talking to the right person. Are your sales people afraid of cold calling?  

Script thinking is one third of the sales issues. In any sales and marketing program it is critical to determine your list and script. Once you have determined your list, scripting is your messaging that you will move forward with in contacting the key decision makers at your target market. Script thinking needs to be all inclusive from what you say to what you send and show your prospects in your sales process.  

One of the first keys to starting any sales and marketing programing is to determine your target market is creating a list. Once you determine your target market you can then pull trade journals, social groups, and other sources relative to that market to begin the foundation of your list. List brokers would sell you various lists that may or not be accurate. Sometimes we have found old lists that are fairly relative still.
